RIITTA TALONPOIKA (1961–) hand-turns most of her works. Typical works by her are wheel-turned polychrome utility objects painted and drawn by hand and unique, one-off utility ware made in wood-fired kilns.

For many of her exhibitions, she has made pieces consisting of small ceramic beads often suspended to descend from the ceiling, which have become characteristic of her work. She has also made installations of dozens or hundreds ceramic objects resembling stones for various exhibitions.

Riitta Talonpoika lives and works in Fiskars Village and she is a member of the ONOMA Cooperative of Artisans, Designers and Artists in Fiskars.
